Tiara L. Burnette

Tiara L. Burnette is an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Floyd, Skeren & Kelly, LLP in our firm's Thousand Oaks office location.  Ms. Burnette earned her Bachelor's Degree at Minnesota State University before going on to earn her Juris Doctorate Degree from Hamline University School of Law. 

Ms. Burnette graduated Magna Cum Laude from Minnesota State University and earned the Honors Apprentice Academic scholarship.  She was also the recipient of the Presidential Academic scholarship for law school, was a member of the National Moot Court team, and was on the Dean's List. 

Before beginning her practice in the private sector defending DUI cases, Ms. Burnette served two federal judicial internships.  She worked on highly complex legal issues and drafted Bench Memoranda involving criminal law.  Ms. Burnette is also certified in the National Highway and Transportation Safety Administration/International Association of Chiefs of Police Standardized Field Sobriety Test course on administration and evaluation of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  Considered by many a maverick in the courtroom, Ms. Burnette passionately uses her experience and vast knowledge of criminal law to vindicate the rights of those accused of DUI and other crimes.
